Due to the enormous workload involved in physics classes combined with stress and lack of sleep, physics students often forget (either by accident, defense mechanism, or intentionally) what their major really is. Thus, as a physics major, I took it upon myself to create a small list of indicators to help us all remember what we really are.

YOU MIGHT BE A PHYSICS MAJOR...

if you have no life - and you can PROVE it mathematically.
if you enjoy pain.
if you know vector calculus but you can't remember how to do long division.
if you chuckle whenever anyone says 'centrifugal force.'
if you've actually used every single function on your graphing calculator.
if when you look in a mirror, you see a physics major.
if it is sunny and 70 degrees outside, and you are working on a computer.
if you always do homework on Friday and Saturday nights.
if you know how to integrate a chicken and can take the derivative of water.
if you think in 'math.'
if you've calculated that the World Series actually diverges.
if you hesitate to look at something because you don't want to break down its wave function.
if you have a pet named after a scientist.
if you laugh at jokes about mathematicians.
if the Humane society has you arrested because you actually performed the Schrodinger's Cat experiment.
if you can't remember what's behind the door in the science building which says 'Exit.'
if you have to bring a jacket with you, in the middle of summer, because there's a wind-chill factor in the lab.
if you are completely addicted to PhysLink.com.
if you avoid doing anything because you don't want to contribute to the eventual heat-death of the universe.
if you consider ANY non-science course 'easy.'
if when your professor asks you where your homework is, you claim to have accidentally determined its momentum so precisely, that according to Heisenberg it could be anywhere in the universe.
if the 'fun' center of your brain has deteriorated from lack of use.
if you'll assume that a 'horse' is a 'sphere' in order to make the math easier.
if you understood more than five of these indicators.
if you make a hard copy of this list, and post it on your door.

If these indicators apply to you, there is good reason to suspect that you might be classified as a physics major. I hope this clears up any confusion.

I was surprised in this result. Though, it's not guarateed that this go-to-quiz test is true. Since when the first time I tried it, the result revealed that I was a strict rationalist, "Plato".

Hahaha, I expected that I will get a fair grade in this cool test. Yes, I'm not a certified traveler. But if I have an extra bucks and I'm not busy, definitely I'd like to explore much of my country. I still believe that Philippines is still a beautiful place (honestly, in most provinces and natural parks not in urban areas) in spite of its poor economy, polluted cities, some of greedy politicians and undisciplined citizens.

This is a story about a stubborn and relentless rich girl, Connie Escobar...
Actually, she doesn't have two navels (it's really impossible), it only portray her childishness, lies and petty insights about life.
The story's setting was in Hong Kong and the era after war (1940's or 1950's). It has a few characters.
Like Rizal's novels, Joaquin focused on the characters' personalities and stories, that's why the novel has some flashbacks.

This is my favorite inspirational prose poem...

I was in my senior high school when I first encounter this astonishing prose poem. At first, I didn't bother to read it all over again since I precisely got the meaning and message of the poem. My problem in high school was that I didn't appreciate any form of literature, no matter how beautiful it was. But now, I really appreciate the essence of literature in our life. Just like a music, it could catalyse our feelings and possessions. It could also encourage a person to do something, think someone, reminisce, believe a certain principle and... perhaps could change the totality of a person. Back to Desidarata, I frequently read this poem just for a piece of inspiration and advice. So that I could attain happiness... And that's one of the great powers of Literature!!!

New King of the Road : E jeepney

This was powered by Greenpeace-Philippines. I didn't doubt to ride on it when I saw this amazing jeep in front of ust main building. Its appearance was really an eye catching since it was colorful, shorter than a typical jeep, and has a different form and structure. I feel comfortable inside this jeep because it has no clamor sound and it doesn't produce toxic gas... I wish that electric jeeps will dominate the roads here in the Philippines after a few years from now... It's really beneficial not only to our mother earth, but also to our health, transporation and probably to Philippine economy.

Inday: It has often been proposed that claims about what is funny, delicious, or likely are “subjective,” in the sense that their truth depends not only on how things are with the objects they explicitly concern, but on how things are with some subject not explicitly mentioned. Inday: And for you madam, here’s your Elephant soup with mirepoix served with Italian bread.

Di maipinta ang mukha ni misis habang tinutusok tusok nya ng tinidor ang elephant meat.

Inday: Lastly, for you sir, I prepared this Soba risotto with Fugu or what is commonly known as pufferfish. (muntik ng malunok ng amo nya ang kanyang dila) Don’t worry sir, I am licensed to prepare that delicacy. Also enjoy this deep fried spider legs with lime yoghurt dip and sauteed mopani worms.

Sir: Ahh… wala ba tayong corned beef na lang?

Inday: Nonsense! Seldom in your life can you eat such exotic dishes so simply enjoy this experience. Bon Apetit!

Do you know that...
-More than 2 million Filipino students can't read
-More than 20% of Philippines' public high school students cannot understand what they are reading
-That in High School Readiness Test (HRET) given by Department of Education to 1st year high school students all over the Philippines, less than 2% was able to get a score of 75%or higher
-That many public schools all over the Philippines don't have adequate public school libraries and enough books for students to read

But it is true that we can do something about this Growing Problem...

The Acts of Hope for the Nation (AHON) Foundation (the corporate social arm of Filway Marketing, Inc.) and K.I.D.S Foundation (the foundation established by actor Diether Ocampo) together with Campaigns and Grey and Pizza Hut have joined forces to launch Isang Milyong Aklat, Isang Milyong Pangarap
